You know, it’s interesting. At work, there have been several times when big decisions were made, and I wasn’t privy to all the details. Maybe there were restructuring plans I wasn’t informed about, or confidential discussions about a new menu. Honestly? Most of the time, it didn’t bother me. I truly believe you don’t need to know every single thing happening around you.
Of course, if it’s something that directly impacts my job security or requires my input for a decision, then absolutely, I need to be in the loop. But the day-to-day background noise? The internal politics or the early stages of a project that might not even materialize? I’m okay being in the dark about those things. It saves unnecessary worry and allows me to focus on what I can control – doing my job well and taking care of Xavy. Sometimes, a little bit of blissful ignorance can actually be quite helpful.
